The GCR / Industeq® pneumatic valve is commonly used on air locking differentials used on a wide variety of 4x4 SUV's.

The air locker is a two-way valve and it has 3- 1/8 NPT ports. 1 is the air inlet which is normally closed and a "A" port (which goes to the locker) and a "E" exhaust port to vent the air to atmosphere.

The toggle switch is a standard electric toggle switch thread and can use a rubber boot or a snap switch cover if needed.

GCR / Industeq® will supply the air locker switch along with one 1/8 to 5mm straight tube adapter (to use with the Blue ARB tubing) and one male thread exhaust baffle and Loctite thread sealant. If custom plumbing is needed, the threads on the air locker switch is a common 1/8 NPT and external hardware can be bought at most large hardware store if needed.

The physical dimensions of the rectangle switch block is 0.875" tall x 0.632" wide x 1.68" deep and the overall depth including the 5mm fitting at the end is around 2.85" However once the blue 5mm tubing is attached you may need a additional 2 " to bend around without crimping the tubing or use a 90deg street ell fitting.

For the operation when the switch is up or down depending on mounting, the valve blocks the incoming air. The outlet port that is connected to the ARB is vented/open to the exhaust port. When the toggle is switched, the air will pass thru the inlet and out the "A" port that is connected to the ARB valve activating the ARB. When the toggle is switched back again, the inlet is blocked and the outlet port then connects to the "E" port making a path flow and venting all the pressurized air in the lines & ARB out to atmosphere.

If one wanted do the logic just like the electric switches buy using the GCR / Industeq® pneumatic switches then what will be needed is a tee fitting and 2 pneumatic switches. Take the tubing coming from outlet ("A") port of the first switch and split it so one line goes to the rear ARB and the 2nd air line goes to the inlet side of the 2nd front ARB switch. This way the front will only activate when the rear is on and will turn off when the rear is switched.

**GCR / Industeq® recommends routing the EXH (Exhaust) port to outside or some other place besides the inside cab and inside the dash. Reason is depending on some circumstances the cab will smell of oil and also if the O-ring in the differential for the ARB fails then the gear oil may back feed back into the line and exit the air locker switch making a mess.

***When tightening the fitting on the end of the Air Locker Switch a 2nd wrench must be used to hold the nut. If not the brass nut on the end of the air locker switch will shear off and is the responsibility of the purchaser to properly tighten the fitting using 2 wrenches. GCR / Industeq® will not warranty if the rear nut is broke off the switch.
